A simple task being more complicated than it needs to be !

I have a used set of Cup 2s off a previous car, that I want put onto my current GT3. Dealer I reluctantly use for other work (OPC Wolverhampton) says will 'only fit tyres supplied by us'.

Does anyone have any recommendations - clearly need someone that I can trust with the wheels, centre locks and will just do what I need, not give me some 'policy' ! Main dealers, got to love em...!

Oh, and I made it very clear I'd pay them for their time obviously...!

A lot of specialist independent places offer this. In Hertfordshire people like JZM and RPM Technik are willing to undertake this. Obviously for a fee, but brings some peace of mind especially if you have PCCB.

I suspect the other notable independents closer to you would be be able to offer the same service. And be cheaper than the OPC.

I've used these guys loads of times (GT cars) and can recommend.

They offer a mobile service but not for CLs. You'll have to take your car (and tyres) to them. I'm also a Wolves customer but the price for tyre changes has increased significantly in the last few months

Thanks for this, I'll check them out.

Re Wolves OPC, they are nice enough, but I find the typical main dealer experience somewhat tiresome...explaining what you want, think needs doing to people not familiar with working on the cars, then getting it back saying 'nothing wrong' we've done a health check scenarios.....I really only use OPC due to the warranty, it's the one drawback of having a newer car under warranty Vs older cars I've had before i.e. you can use better specilaists..!

In fairness though I don't think it's just Wolves, I bought the car from Chester and had issues in the sales process as well..

Good to know and tbh not too far from me, prob about an hour, but given their reputation leaning towards this. Guess they are also used to dealing with PCCBs...
