Mission 780iSE but what else
Discussion
I just sold my B&W DM601S3. Lovely clarity but just so shouty and forward. I didnt want to be without a speaker as I waited on a new replacement pair. I spotted a cheap pair of Mission 780iSE and bought them. They arrived in very lovely condition. I had a pair of 760iSE back in the early 90s so it was kind of nostalgic. I wanted a warmer sound with good bass. They are certainly less forward, and not at all fatiguing at higher volumes. The bass is not mind blowing but its definitely ok. They are genuinely really good. Im absolutely keeping them as backups. I want to get another set and I dont want a little bit better than these. They so good I want a lot better than these. I dont/cant spend anymore than about £500. Thoughts recommendations ?

Monitor audio gs10. They’ll do it.
If you read every review one wouldnt ever make a decision. Apparently though its suggested these need some serious amplification to extract the best sound. What is regarded as serious im not sure.I should have pointed out that my amp is a brilliant little Rega Brio Mk8 (I think it is). But its the latest model just discontinued. I believe its 50w per channel @ 8ohms.
