I'm not sure what's available publicly or to commercial users, however I have been demo-ed some amazing video detection capabilities. Vehicles, including make, model, colour, number of drivers, minor deviations to previous spots of the same vehicle (eg damage, mods). Also people based CCTV detection for GAIT analysis that identifies the same person even if the face is not visible, and behavioural detection such as fighting or medical emergency. This is already commonly used at large events to automatically dispatch security or first aid to where it's needed.

One of the systems I've seen was used at the Dubai Expo:

The expo was a big site. The density of cameras is still lower than you'll get in the world cctv capital of London. The impressive thing at the expo was a notable lack of visible security and medical staff - they used the cctv to detect anything and then they'd be dispatched directly to where needed.

Of course Dubai doesn't have much violence due to the general setup of society there - much less stabby stabby than London! The worst behaviour I saw at the expo was the (many) spoilt kids kicking and punching the expo's autonomous information robots while their parent watched on chuckling at how cute their offspring are.
