It's randomly started growing at the side of our building i've noticed.

I downloaded that app and it suggested willowherb as did Google lens. Thanks all.

Presuming you meant to write "didn't", I've read that weeds are just plants that are in the wrong place.

I've got willowherb all over the place, seems to appear from nowhere and it's an almost never-ending job to keep pulling it up. Should be doing it now instead of sitting here.

They are. They are plants like any other, just ones you don't want.

I have buddleia growing in my garden. I really like it and have planted a few more. My neighbour has buddleis growing out of the cracks his paths. He sees them as a weed.

Good advice. They are prolific, and are one of the first things to grow in disturbed soil.
