Williams F1 Race day experience - Any good?
Discussion
I've got a big birthday coming up and I've been asked for ideas. Hovered over this a few times over the years its not a cheap day out, so - has anyone done it? Worth it? Do you actually get much 'insider' insight from anyone who actually knows what they are talkin about, or is it just like paying to watch Sky F1 in a conference room with some free sandwiches instead of on my sofa at home?

There was definitely someone on here who went there a couple of years ago, but a quick search can’t find it so it’s probably buried in one of the race threads. https://www.williamsf1.com/experience-centre/race-...
IIRC it’s a similar experience to actually being at the circuit as guest of the team, so you get to hear the team radio rather than Crofty, listen to the strategists talking about how the race plays out etc, so some of the best access to a team you can actually buy.
I remember at the time thinking it would be an awesome experience. I see from their site that the British GP is already sold out and the Belgian GP is still available at £250 a head, which is going to be cheaper than actually going there for the day.
If you do decide to go, please write a report on this thread!
i had an invite sent to me for a recent gp but was away sadly it had no costs but contact them, it is something i am planning on dong but already going to SPA and Monza this year so may shelve plans for next year.
Would be good to hear from someone who has experienced one of these experiences !

Well just leaving williams now.....overall I'd give it a 8/10
Arrived at 9.00,free williams hat and lanyard....then breakfast.....once fed it was off to the sims and scalectrix experience which was good fun.....11.30 was our tour of the heritage collection (which was excellent)
Next was lunch....followed by more sim time
Then it was race time....live interview with chief mechanic... and some recorded interview with an analyst from williams mission control.....popcorn was a nice touch to eat while watching the race.....and drinks and nibbles provided during the race......very little behind the scenes info during the race
After race the collection was opened up for photos.....as I said earlier 8/10....I thought it was going to be a long day of sitting around waiting....but no...a well structured day :-)
