Didn't watch it but I thought they might have tried to do the reverse, ie take some Barbary apes and teach them some manners.

Mrs Beano keeps commenting that Mr Simmonds is actually a very nice man. She met him in a lift once, apparently. (Make of that what you will!)

I thought simmons came over as quite intelegent, and seemed to be taking the whole thing quite seriousley, definatley not Chav TV. That kid he picked as the lead singer was ace, that last shot of him singing into the camera at the end had me in stitches!! That boy will go far

It annoys me that it is apparently impossible to like more than one genre of music

Christ's Hospital?

Over here in the States, they provide sub-titles for the kids - the ultimate irony.

For Christ's sake, they are hardly inpenetrable Geordies...

Bunch of thieves! When we played rugby there at school, they broke into our coach and nicked a load of bags, whilst we were were in it!

Good programme though, enjoyed it

Simmons came across as intelligent and funny. He certainly was taking his task seriously.

His pondering at the table in his hotel while pondering the British weather had me in complete agreement.

My mate Adrian went to Christs Hospital. He was a bit good on the piano.
I've not seen him for over twenty years.
Ho hum.

I quite enjoyed it. Just hope they don't mess with the kid's head too much that they picked as lead singer.

I enjoyed it too.

I was half expecting Simmons to play the archtypal 'rock star' ala Spinal Tap - but no - he was ... well .. normal.

I'm glad he picked that young lad - not fair and cruel that all the other kids in the school hate him.

Crazy, Crazy, Nights.

Not exactly Detroit Rock City, is it?

Mediocre at best, Kiss were, helped by superlative cod pieces.

i think that it was ok, but it should have shown us more than finding the singer, and telling us after the ad break that had happened in the first half, but in a couple of sentences. well done channel 4, we are not morons!
