Hello everybody,

I have been going to Le Mans for the last 18 years (I know, I am a newby) and every year we try to do or see something we havent done before.

I am looking voor reccomendations for actities around the circuit that are not organized by the ACO. We did go to the drivers parade one year, but I thought it was way to crowded.

Is the Classic Britisch Welcome worth the trip, trafic gets so busy on the Friday?

Did any of you go to Hotel de France? is that something you would reccomend?

Are there any othe events that are fun to go to?

I might give the Teloche event on Friday a go this year. Every two years apparently, with a Porsche centric feel with the towns history.

Have a look around circuit village and museum on Friday morning whilst hopefully a bit quieter. Maybe Mulsanne also.

Got pissed off with pit lane access last year. No access from the paddock side like they’ve done for many years. So didn’t bother in the end. It is a mystery to me why they don’t run a one way system to create a natural flow. Access at start finish end (no access down the steps to paddock area from village) then exit into paddock at pit exit end or crowd can continue onto track and other exits.

I found it, but do they organise anything or just the historic site?

We do the museum every three years or so.

Totaly agree, one way would work so much better. The place just gets to crowded. There is a pitwalk on tuesday, we will geve that a try this year.

Are there any details on the event at Teloché?

I have never been and might be something different to do on the Friday

Yes. Although it is a bit of a trek so you need to commit to it being a 'day out'.

Otherwise, it is well worth heading into Le Mans city centre and hanging out in a bar/restaurant/etc.
