Rubber-backed indoor rug? Does such a thing exist?
Discussion
We need a new rug for the living room. Maybe 6’ by 4’.
I detest rugs that curl up at the corners and/or trip you up, get rucked up, or require that separate mesh rubber sheeting underneath.
We have wooden floors.
Ideally I would just put in a big doormat, like you get in banks etc, but Madam has torpedoed that idea. She (rightly) wants something a bit nicer underfoot.
So does any firm produce a solid, rubber-backed schmuggy rug?

Just watch out for what it does to your floor finish...
Lounge floor is Osmo over solid oak parquet.. finish had been on for over a year before we put a rubber backed rug down... there's been an odd reaction and you can see the texture of the rubber backing in the floor finish where it has made it darker/been in contact (isn't due to UV.. definitely a reaction between rubber and Osmo)

Rubber can mark floors and wood
Found this out a few times, car tyres on foam vinyl hall flooring in a uni rental, hifi turntable on a nice wooden sideboard, etc.
All depends what's in the rubber backing I guess, but we have had no such issues with Turtle matt. And clear gel back should be fine.
