Hello all,

I'm considering Metzeler's Sportec M9 RR's for my 08 GSXR 750. I ride it mostly on the road (mixed conditions) however I also do 2-3 track days per year.

I've heard good things about them but I was wondering about first-hand experiences and other possibly better alternatives?

Thanks in advance smile

Can't help with the track aspect, but I have them on my Tuono V4 and they're magnificent, really good road tyre

I had a pair on my Hypermotard 939SP and highly rated them, preferable to the Diablos 4's but splitting hairs here, both excellent tyres I'd buy either on price rather than any massive advantage in any real way.

Cracking tyres, I have done about 40k miles across M7and M9RR over the last 5 or 6 years, with a few of my buddies doing similar amounts of miles.

Loads of grip wet and dry, knee down in 5/6 degree temps in the Black Forest. The profile is quite steep, so they do drop in fast which some people don't like, and it takes quite a bit more lean to get them to the edge of the tyre compared to an S22 or similar, but it's all I will use on my bikes now, they give so much confidence in all conditions.

Great tyre, I have them on my superduke gt.

Fundamentally there are a sports tyre so they will wear out more quickly but I like the sharper profile so they drop on their side more quickly.
