One of you probably has decent experience of the place. I’m on my semi regular Uppsala run and for once I’ve actually found myself with some time to look round Stockholm - first time I’ve ever managed that.

So, which is the best/none ste English/Irish pub in town?
And before anyone does the “thou art little Englander” thing, knock it off. Standard European city rules apply - find the English/Irish pubs, they are the centre of the city’s social life. A rule I have found holds true for every European city I’ve lived/worked in outside of France.

The Auld Dub is ok. 15 min walk from T:Centralen - decent pint of Guinness.

There is a chain of British Themed pubs around Stockholm called The Bishops Arms. Pretty consistent, good selection of beers and decent menu.

If Thai food is your thing, one of my favourite Thai restaurants - Kho Phangan is about a 10 min walk from The Auld Dub. Great food and you sit in a tuk tuk.

There are some bars/restaurants in the Old Town that are worth a look, The Lord Nelson (it's a hotel) was always OK but I haven't been for some years now (used to work in Stockholm), the main drag in the Old Town is Vasterlangattan.

During your pub crawl, two sites that any moderately curious person should cast an eye over:

Location of the bank robbery that created Stockholm Syndrome, still very recognisable:

https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/birthplace-of-...

And:

Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme was assassinated at the corner of Sveavägen and Tunnelgatan in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1986
