Has the bodykit ever been removed to check for rust? Can the owner explain when the original wheels were changed to OZ Wheels on the car now?

The body kit was removed in 2001 for a glass out respray but has not been removed since. It has had regular servicing every year for which I have all the invoices for.

The OZ wheels were fitted around the same time as the glass out respray in 2001

They were BBS but have long gone.

my first car was a mk1 Golf. 1.3? CL. 5 Door. Flat RAF Blue Got it in 1989 I think. Took me all round the UK as an Ag student working on farms from Edinburgh to Norwich to Radlett. CNC443Y


Saw one(Mk1) last month in Perth (Scotland) parked near a Polo. Jeez the Polo is much bigger.

The wee Golf I had was epic. Replaced it with a B reg 85 Polo Coupe S (1.3 4 speed) which TBH was pretty crap.

Thanks for all your replies as the 2nd owner. Just noticed the advert description says originally purchased from UK
Dealer Arthur Price in 1983, but it’s actually ordered to UK spec by a German Dealer, dealer code 141 in Ingostadt. So it’s a personal import, guessing military and 3 months later UK registered April 1983. Happened a lot in the 80’s.

I'd say that's all correct. I don't think there was a military connection as far as I know.

Car runs and drives perfectly. There is a small oil leak.
