Intermittent Dashcam Power 2024 Toyota Corolla Estate (OBD)

I've installed a Viofo dashcam in my 2024 Toyota Corolla Estate—the model with "HEV" on the back, rather than "Hybrid." For power, I'm using a REARMASTER Universal OBD Power Cable, which has worked flawlessly in my previous three vehicles.
However, I've noticed that while driving, the dashcam powers on at times but remains off at others. Could anyone shed light on why this might be happening? Could it be an issue with the OBD port, where power is inconsistently supplied—perhaps fluctuating depending on whether the car is running in petrol mode or EV mode?
