It was parked in a car park in Winchester. Came back to the car and found it like this. Whoever did this didn't leave a note. rolleyes

So although it's a no-fault claim I'm still going to have to cough up the excess. My only hope is CCTV footage.

They even managed to hit the inner part of my wheel rim, leaving red paint transfer.

Sorry about your damage.

After three non-faults in as many months I am having all our cars fitted with dash cams.

That's a very low red car. Speak to the businesses on entry/exit of the carpark - what red cars did they capture on their cameras during the times that you were parked? If it's one- I'd personally submit the reg to your insurance. Its worth at least trying.

Likewise, I’d be gutted. Absolute lowlife not to leave a note and own up.

bds. Sorry to see this. So many people do not care these days. I hope that you get a satisfactory resolution.

Absolutely gutted for you.

Are you going to try to chase it up to identify the culprit?

That's unfortunate, I've also had a car park hit and run which must've been with some force as it almost fully cracked the lower lip. I'm really not sure how someone can cause this much damage at car park speeds. I think it may be a case of the car being so small and low people simply don't see it.

While I had to pay the excess, my insurance didn't count it as a strike against the amount of allowed 'at fault' claims before affecting NCB.

a terrible sign of the times we live in now where it feels there is an increase in the number of people that think not owning up to their mistakes, in the workplace and life in general is what you do if you think can get away with it. I do hope CCTV comes good for you and lets you report to the police.

I hate this.

Someone hit my car in 2022 in a hotel car park.

I was asleep yet it counted as an AT FAULT claim 'cos the perp fecked off.

These days I return to my car expecting it to have been hit.

Watching morons in any carpark who barely have control of their cars is frightening.

Sorry to the OP, that's awful and the perp would have absolutely known that they had hit another car. Fecker!

Sorry to hear this, total scumbags. Not surprised though when you see the appalling parking and manoeuvering in car parks. I park in the farthest corner of the car park from the shop entrance and come back to find some fooker has parked right next to you, 6 inches from your door.

I had a hotel stopover in Germany back in 2020, in my MX5, opting to park on the left after almost going for a space on the right side of the hotel car park. Came to leave the following morning and there was a big scene involving the hotel manager in said car park. An elderly gent had obviously not applied the handbrake properly or parked in gear and his car had rolled down the camber and smashed into a car in the exact space on the right that I was initially going for, before changing my mind. Phew !!

That is sickening to see and my biggest fear. I hope you can get a witness or proof to help the claim.
Some people just have absolutely no honesty in them (Selfish F@#€rs), probably not insured themselves and maybe under the influence of drugs too.

Im reluctant to take my car to shows anymore as I've seen kids leaning on cars and sliding along the sides, and their parents not even caring,

Society today.

Supermarket today, parked well away from the entrance and others.

Just leaving the car and there's a learner with her mum directing her to park right next to mine.

She looked terrified and was making a right pigs ear of it.

When I taught my ex girlfriend how to park, we used cardboard boxes not other people's pride and joys. FFS!

It has to be said... you have a point.

When you're emotionally invested in a car and there are other people on the road, it's stressful.

Parking is a doddle in France. He's (or maybe it was a Sheila) done well to get such a huge car in that tight space. And with the wheels straight !
