A bit more information here. Looks like a good landing.

It looks like the prop was still turning when it landed, and the eyewitnesses did not mention engine failure just that it was circling.. Could a Spitfire prop be fully feathered in the event of engine failure, and would the pilot do that?
Please note two points:- I am by no means expert and eyewitnesses are notoriously unreliable.
