There will be plenty of NC500 goodness coming your way soon I expect.
Plenty of reading here - although it’s all about driving in the highlands the NC500 comes up a lot in this thread.

The route is good, best bits are on the west side though, so many skip parts of the proper route. However I like the complete route around.
Prepare for it to be busy (when are you going?) but I always suggest you take your time and enjoy the place, rather than just driving, stopping briefly, then moving on. Get out the motor home and really enjoy the area and local hospitality

NC500 in a Motorhome.
tips for the trips?

There is some strong local hostility against NC500 and especially against motorhomes. tips for the trips?
Colin
The main problems are
Holding up traffic by not using passing places correctly and especially not allowing overtakes by faster (local) traffic.
Not using official campsites and just parking and camping and please note that the definition of wild camping means walking with your tent and not using a vehicle.
Disposal of sewage in rainwater drains and ditches.
So the tips are
Don't park in passing places.
Don't drive in a convoy which will block passing places.
Allow local traffic to overtake.
Camp in official campsites.
Use the waste disposal facilities at the official campsites.
