If you live in Kent and want your car dyno'd, I can highly recommend a chap called Ian at IA Motorsport.
He's extremely knowledgeable and doesn't charge silly money. £80 per hour.
I had my car power measured yesterday and despite the power being great all the systems showed where improvements can be made.
Seems there's a slight restriction in the intake system (plenum inlet size id say).....(Imminent 72mm plenum upgrade incoming) And also my car is running appx 3%-4% lean.

You will almost certainly need a remap after fitting one if your running lean now, are you on standard 14cux?
Just something to consider as not many do this now so worth considering going aftermarket if you want to make some big improvements.

No, my car is running an MBE 9A8 ECU.
Lean to that degree isn't going to cause any damage but me being me, I want it 100% right.
The whole point of the Dyno was to generally check the car/engine over and get a 'before' power output prior to a couple more modifications.

It's sounds reasonable if he was going to do any adjustments, and take extra readings beyond just a power check, but for a straight dyno run, that would be expensive, IMHO. I last paid £40, but that was nearly 4 years ago. rolleyes It satisfied me that my camshaft was still OK in the Griff. smile

The standard 14cux afm is probably a bit of a bottleneck but happy days if your aftermarket.
The 500s must have fairly decent porting to the intake.

I don't have a maf, distributor, points etc.
Air intake upto the plenum is straight through so in reality, it's the plenum throttle body holding it back.

Did you find someone to sort the larger plenum out?

Out of interest, what was the bhp and torque?
I only ask as I watched a YouTube video last week where the guy said he'd not seen a 500 over 286 bhp.
The one he was looking at had been modified and achieved 296 bhp.
So I wondered if yours is standard and how close after 20 years it is to the 340 bhp TVR originally claimed.
Cheers.

There's many upgrades done on my car. Very advanced Dyno adjusted and calculated the bhp at the crank is 339bhp. Torque, can't remember.
Ive got the files on their way to me.
