Hi all,

Possibly a silly question but I've just bought a gas grill and need to purchase some gas but have no idea which I need. Added to the confusion is that nobody will sell me a bottle unless I have one to exchange.

It's a Broil King Gem 310. Here are a couple of pictures of the valve:

Any help much appreciated.

Looks like one of the quick fit / clip-on valves which fit the green bottles from Calor (Patio Gas), Flowgas (leisure gas) etc.

Do you have a B&M with Garden Centre nearby? They stock Flowgas.

I guessed that much...

I have an old propane bottle (red) but it's a different valve.

Is it patio (green)?

Thank you, we do. I'll try them!

You can often get empty bottles on FB marketplace quite cheap, then exchange them.
Make sure you get a brand and size that you can exchange though, some seem to be obsolete.
Some of the small bottles have been in short supply over the last couple of years.

This is the problem I currently have. My old one is of no use and the retailers simply aren't interested.

Facebook is a great idea.

I order my bottle refills from flogas online, they deliver and collect the old bottle.

Thank you everyone. I've been out and have managed to buy a flogas from B&Q. Probably more expensive than other suppliers but at least we're sorted for the weekend. Much appreciated.
