Fluoride % in kids toothpaste
Discussion
My kid hates mint so currently use a kids strawberry tooth paste that has age 3-8 on packaging and shows fluoride at 1450ppm. My kid is older than 8 now but looking at the older kids toothpaste there all same 1450ppm, just mild mint or mint. I'm I missing something here is the age 3 to 8 with 1450ppm just as good as the older kids versions as they have same fluoride content, or is there something else added in older kids / adult tooth paste?
Thanks
Thanks

Why on earth would you expose them to that poison?
Because he doesn't want their teeth to rot, and doesn't listen to fringe loonies?https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39761023/

Teeth rotting due to a lack of fluoride? Which fringe loony theory is that?

They don't rot due to a lack of fluoride, they are just far less likely to rot if you do use fluoride.https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39761023/
We use OHP Family, very low flavour, no issues.

From memory, the amount of fluoride in toothpaste even for adults used to be 250ppm. I stopped using fluoride toothpaste over a decade ago and my 10 year old daughter has never used it. As mentioned above, it is neurotoxic and not selective with the hardening effect it has on bones. It will systematically calcify other parts of the body such as the pineal gland. It can make the teeth stronger but it makes them brittle and more prone to cracking. It also wipes out the health microbiome in your mouth making it more prone to pathogenic bacteria colonising which cause tooth decay. Fluoride is also linked to increases in bone cancer and it competes for the iodine receptors in every cell of the body. In summary we shouldn't be putting any amount in our bodies.
If you want a safe toothpaste then look at hydroxyapatite based toothpastes which are bioidentical to the structure of our teeth. A company called Gutology make a very good toothpaste which contains probiotics and doesn't contain any parabens or sodium lauryl sulphate. It may be more expensive than common toothpastes but when you consider how much dental treatment can cost and how detrimental to your health bad dental treatment can be then I'd say it is worth it.

I'd guess they offer exactly the same protection as far as fluoride goes given they're the same concentration, and that there's no other active ingredient I've seen listed. So just the rest of it; colour, flavouring, foaming, maybe abrasiveness, whatever other qualities different toothpastes have. Thanks

Other than we have two tubes of the stuff and cant find either this weekend!https://growingsmiles.co.uk/shop/ohp-1450-fluoride...
We also got a 'parent child brush' from the same site, child size brush head, with an adult size handle. Which makes perfect sense to me.
It's really nice to use, but sadly having just exchanged emails with the site about them being out of stock of them currently, it appears the 'Curaprox ATA brush has been discontinued. So back to little short handles it is, even though the back of the same packet suggests parents do the brushing till they at least 7 years old!
