Pins on charging plug

This is a BMW charging cable. The pin top right sits 0.75 inches from the top of the hole. All the rest sit 1.25 ins from the top of their holes.
I’m having trouble lately with “ connection interrupted “ while charging with OVO anytime. Does the pin placement have any impact on this. TIA

I'm pretty certain that one of the pins is designed to contact last in order to confirm connection. On removal, this also breaks contact first triggering the power circuit break.

Probably easiest to try another cable to test that, and try using a different charger to test that. Are you anywhere near Banbury, you could come and try different combinations here.
