Looks like official photos leaked a couple of hours early - full spec due 1320 UK time I believe

Based on other leaked photos final name = Speciale (yawn....) not Mugello as previously surmised

It has an extra 50bhp and active aero and loses 60kg - lots of carbon incl wheels. Will be expensive to fix if you bash a c/f wing or wheel.

weight saving is pretty bad really, every other special series car has had -100kg and the base of this is heavier than the others

topgear saying not a limited run car and anyone who's bought a car within 5 years is eligible

depreciation could be fairly steep on these I think, especially when you basically have to order carbon wheels or you're not getting the weight saving you paid for, options will be pricey

were any of these cars limited? I think they were all "time limited" that is why I could have ordered a Speciale even though I only bought one used car

458 spec's weren't that hard to order new (as long as you spec'd them super high) but iirc it was the pista that needed a good buying history - lots of people were told to buy Lusso's in advance, many instantly resold through the dealers and took £100k loss

the main difference here is they seem to be broadcasting that you don't really need a buying history

The "Aperta" moniker usually indicates a 1 of XXX limited cars. Looks like the coupe will be time limited and the Aperta actually limited if the past is anything to go by.

At a guess base price will be in the region of £ 350000 compared with £ 260000 for GTB plus your extras so probably at least £ 400 000 on the road

Aperta just translates to open. As in GTS.

I'm aware. In the past limited by number cars have been "Aperta" and non-limited Spider or GTS.

true the 16m and the Speciale A were x of y I believe, not so the Pista spider from memory.
For the Pista I think they had some criteria re recent new car purchases / being a long standing V8 customer or some crap like that (and the whole Challenge car stuff for the Pista Piloti)

the seats in the launch pics of the Aperta look interesting - like a decent bucket seat as opposed to the usual "racing" seats

I have a 296 GTS which has depreciated £8k/month since I bought it and to upgrade to an equivalent Speciale would cost £200k+. It’s not going to happen.

Unfortunately this.. i don’t see a problem getting a car, nothing Speciale about losing 100k in the first year.. been there got the hybrid t shirt and gone back to the back catalogue. I actually think in 6 months a newbie to the brand could get a Coupe allocation.

I would be paying 25% import tax (VRT) and 3% extra VAT on the difference on top of the depreciation so it's not happening for me either. How to burn a stack of money for literally a rounding error of extra fun.
