My team, (Manchester City) are in action today v Nottingham Forest.

Several years ago, the semis were always held at a neutral venue, roughly mid way between the two clubs, for instance, City v Arsenal might be at Villa Park near Birmingham.

The final was always an "occasion", but now it just seems like another end of season game tacked on.

In the early 1960's, town centres were deserted, a large percentage of the population would be glued to their 19" black and white TV's.

Changing times.

From memory, I think they are played at Wembley these days as part of an agreeement to recoup some of the costs associated with building the new stadium.

Don’t disagree that it was better when it was only the final played there.
