I'm just looking at changing my exhaust. But on inspection of my old exhaust I can see that it's stainless steel. Does this mean it is not a "standard" exhaust or can you get "standard" exhausts in stainless steel?
Thanks.

Depends - as I understand it you can only buy a "standard" exhaust in stainless now whereas up until a while ago "standard" exhausts were mild steel. (Assuming you have an S1).
BTW..........If yours is standard & stainless ,you're losing it & it's in reasonable nick I might be interested in it...........

Yep...it's 100% and in stainless. I just want to get a sports exhaust now....But I have an 2003 S2 not an s1. Would you still be interested?

I don't think an S2 will fit an S1 will it? There you go, that's my Elise exhaust knowledge exhausted

correct. for example, the S1 is centre exit, the S2 an exit on each side.

lol...correct. Thre's no way an S2 will fit an S1. I appologise, I didn't realise you had an S1...I should of been more specific.

By the way Tony, did I read somewhere you had a video on fitting an exhaust for an S2?
