In line with F1’s environmentally friendly policy, we’ve moved 11,500km for the Miami GP. Mclaren introduced its major upgrade here last year on Norris’ car and went on to win the WCC.

Sadly the circuit doesn’t usually produce much in the way of racing, so it could be a challenging watch on Sunday. It’s a Sprint weekend, and Pirelli is bringing softer tyres than previously, so that might shake things up a bit.

Most focus will be on the McLarens, and whether Norris can stop making crucial mistakes. The Red Bull could be competitive if tyre wear is low, if it’s hot expect Mercedes to struggle. Hamilton will want to close the gap to Leclerc.

Here’s to a great race.

Date(s): Friday 2 May to Sunday 4 May 2025.

UK Broadcast Timings (and track time)

All sessions are live on Sky F1. Channel 4 is showing highlights of Qualifying and the Race.

Thanks PiaP for these as always.

Rumours of a few upgrades coming to this race, even though the Sprint format makes it difficult to test anything with only the one practice session.

Thanks, PiaP.

With absolutely nothing to base it upon, I'm going to predict a slightly topsy-turvy race, with only 5 cars from the typical "top 8" finishing in the top 10.

Oh this is a properly crap time for a race. I have four days of F1 for one weekend.

I can't see anyone beating Piastri at the moment. He's cool headed and fast, so my vote goes to Oscar.

Ah, the race around a suburban carpark with a fake marina. This will be one to watch the 5 minute youtube 'highlights' on Monday morning.

He is so calm. If Red Bull gets some good upgrade (Imola I think) then why might have a real title fight, but until then I see Max as driving 100% but just those .2 sec behind.

I like the time of the race though it could be tough to stay awake if its boring. Especially for the post race if nothing happened.

Perfect for me; just after I get the kids to bed. Ipad and a glass of wine time.

I guess it can be good and bad. Depends on if you have to be up at 4am to set off for work or you sign into teams with your big toe in the morning lol.

The Monday is a bank holiday, so the late night shouldn't be a problem for most people.

If you mean he’ll act in an unsporting manner then yes, you’re probably right. wink

9pm Race start time in the UK with a Bank Holiday Monday the next day. Seems perfect to me.

Can actually do stuff on the Sunday and watch it from bed in the evening with a nice glass of wine, as Vaud mentioned above.
