2016-2018 Q3 versus 2017-2022 Ateca versus 2018 Tiguan

Looking to replace SWMBO's set of wheels
Currently had a gen3 RAV4.
As lifelong VW/Audi chap - I have to say the Toyota has been awesome. Way lower cost of ownership than anything I have ever owned from the VAG stable (except maybe my 1l mk2 golf I bought for £200 in 1999).
Looking at replacement - wants something ideally smaller than the RAV4, but still needs to fit family of 4.
Having done a "sit test" with all 3 (which included the adults sitting in the back to forecast the kids growth) - the Q3, Tiguan and Ateca all look they might fit the bill - along with a Merc B class.
Also tried a GLA (she liked these- and the in laws have one) - but its too small.
We will work size/fit/suitability between the models above - but my main question to this group is views on long term reliability of the above - and also whether the later (2019-2020) models are worse reliability than the older models etc.
Engine wise - probably looking at 1.4/1.5TSI - not looking at diesel.
OH not bothered about stretching to the 2.0 in the Q3 or AWD.
Appreciate thoughts - namely -
- issues, reliability gotcha's or other areas to look for

Not sure that reliability will be that much different between them as don’t they all use the same drivetrain and engines?
Basically Audi for the quality of the interior and £££, Ateca for more kit and £, or VW in between.
Had an Ateca 1.4 for 8 years now, been fine though the pedestrian warning system is a bit over-zealous and I’ve been quoted some outrageous parts prices (£1000 for a headlight unit), probably all expensive though.

Late 2016. It was one of the very first, but apart from the engine change to 1.5 from 1.4 and some new spec levels, I don’t think it’s changed. We got an Xcellence which is dripping with kit. Interior is OK, not super special but that’s how VAG encourage you to spend up to the Q3. We use it as a school run car, it’s good for that, OK on motorway runs but you really notice the difference compared with our SQ7, but it was 3 times the price…
Long term average for the Ateca is about 42mpg, mostly shortish runs. 2WD model.

Personally I would go for the Tiguan
The R line especially looks great, they all have panoramic sunroof and adaptive cruise control, both things that are options on the Audi and the seat
I think the alteca looks a bit weird and the q3 seems a bit squashed, and no doubt models in your budget will be higher miles for the same money
I had the 1.5tsi 150 in a A3 and it was fine, not fast but not a slouch and felt fine on the motorway and not underpowered
