Must be a nightmare building in a 1km2 city where everyone is a retired squillionaire business owner happy to dob you in for the smallest infraction
..especially with a personality like his

Are stud walls a cheapo option? I’d have thought they’d be block

That's the one. I've asked the title to be changed.

Considering the problems and restrictions I thought Mr Phoenix did extremely well, and his team even better. His son Jack comes across well and goes to university in Monaco apparently.

Must be an England thing. The thread title is like something you'd find down in the bowels of the Internet.

Thank you. If you knew about him or the series so far you'd understand.

The idea of this thread is that PHer can comment on the programme.

I quite enjoyed watching this. The Britain version is good too.

I find it quite entertaining. Obviously a marmite character and went into this with his eyes wide shut!

Like the buildings but not so keen on him kitting and dressing the place out….. the artwork to start with!!

That place in the British series, i’d gut most of it to put my own stamp on it!!

He has a pretty fancy villa in France he used as a base to commute from. His work ethic is insane; he must be hell to work for (and he reminds me of Brian Johnson!). Apparently in Monaco he was only allowed to work 9-noon and 2-5pm or the residents complained. The view from the roof was THE view though...

A two hour lunch break? That's very French 😋

Thanks. Love him or hate him, you have to respect what he does. The permission to do the work went with the former owner, so while waiting for 3 weeks for the new permission, he was checking out luxury yachts for inspiration.

I've seen the first one, interesting enough but a fair bit of padding as he takes us around the sights of Monaco. I haven't seen the British series, was that on proper TV, or just online somewhere?

This was broadcast on Channel 4. Do different countries have different versions?

Allegedly he has been sniffing around a property at the end of my road, no idea if that is true but my cameras did catch a 458 going by a few weeks ago.

He's a character and I think some of it is just for show. His homes seem to be built for footballers, but each to their own.

Monaco is interesting, looking forward to the next episode.

Interesting turn of phrase there. smile
