M73 Southbound to M8 Westbound at J2, possible?

Just planning a trip from Stirling to Glasgow Fort shopping centre and logically I should leave the M73 southbound at J2 for the M8 westbound. But so far as I can see ,and Google Earth agrees with me, it can't be done. Instead I have to do some bizarre loops at roundabouts and/or trips through housing estates!

Am I going mad, or is Transport Scotland at it again?

Its not too bad to be fair. Come off a junction 2 and head for Edinburgh Road. Take a right onto Easterhouse Road and then you're almost there.

Alternatively, stay on the M80 to junction 13, and then join straight onto the M8 East bound. 2 minutes later you're at the Fort.

Take Jcn 2A off M73 Glenboig/Muirhead/Gartcosh that will take you off to Fort at rear end through Gartcosh

another alternative would be to take the M80 & come off at Royston/Riddrie & join the M8 eastbound to come off at Fort.
