992 GT3 RS real values?
Discussion
Beautiful cars but even more of a one-trick pony ??
I look at all the cars for sale, some "new" at £30k over list from OPC's and others gradually ageing doing nothing at over £300k ...
Maybe if the next is an electric they will at some stage go up in value ... but there are an awful lot for sale and we are now well into the track-day season ...
Also, expensive to run at pace, very expensive to repair and somewhat unforgiving if they get untidy at real speed. For these reasons also almost impossible to insure for track days ... though I now self insure.
(One of the things that makes a GT4 such a sweet spot) ...

And 992.1 GT3 owners, and owners of its predecessor, are probably going to have to find ~ £100k even with a special invite.
To get the engine, the smart money is in a GT4 RS if you track and an older 991.2 GT3 for road and track.
Having done 30 k miles in my .2RS , it can be used on a daily basis but this is a step too far looks wise . This makes it a one trick pony as Chris says and that trick can come at a price with even a small off ( CF parts mad expensive ) .
So market is very small hence very hard to sell especially in more extreme colour options .
Most will have very low milage even in years to come as just to the track an back generally

I'm really not sure anyone with a 991rs can reasonably call the 992rs 'even more of a one trick pony'..... It's still a road car that has a largely unusable amount of grip fir most people and almost all road conditions that only really comes alive on track with loud shouty 'racer' looks to help look the part. If the 992rs is a one trick pony, the 991rs, especially the .2 most certainly would be one as well.So market is very small hence very hard to sell especially in more extreme colour options .

I do own a 991.2 GT3RS and even with the front boot and room through the roll cage it's best use is really track days plus a bit ... hence the 992.1 GT3RS is IMHO more of a one trick pony for good reason .... unless you know otherwise ?
You can fit lots of stuff in a .2rs. I've used mine for euro trips with the Mrs, le mans camping and numerous ring trips.
Multiple crash helmets, bags and camping gear. Easily fits in the front and back.
Without the front, it would be very tight but doable. The issue for me would be the looks imo.
But I'd still have one, however they're not twice the car so wouldn't pay twice as much for one.
Bonkers asking prices and time will tell.

So where would you put any luggage in the 992.1 GT3RS once any passenger is in place ? Crash helmets plus ??

Too true hence I have no roll cage as well , was need space when going to race at Spa or Le Mans for luggage and passenger stuff . Also use mine for the Petrol run to local stations ( To avoid Sodifuel price ) as can get 4 Jerry cans in the boot.

Totally impractical car as at lemans dinner you could not fit 3 of us in the back,i will take the cayenne next time
The carbon cage looks ok to stuff kit through, the cgt is not much more practical for luggage, but who cares the driving is the most important part.
Local opc still asking 330 for a rs because of is pts for ffs, looked at st for sale, even dafter ask compared to a gt3.
