Hello,
We have a cruise booked with P&O in July. Any recommendations for parking in Southampton?
Regards
Steve.

West quay multi story car park is often used. £7 a night I think now. CCTV , ANPR and all that malarky however recommend dropping your cases / family off first then legging back to the terminal or getting a taxi down there from the taxi rank outside.

Obviously more expensive meet and greet options are available but I guess it depends on how risk tolerant you are of a public car park and if you want to pay more.

It's a pretty decent 24 hour car park, well lit etc and as regular visitors to the shopping centre we always use it.

We've done the valet parking through P&O and it's always worked well. You park up right by the terminal, unload on the trolleys that are already there, hand the cases over close by and they'll sort the parking.

On return, you go to the section your cases are at and are directed back to your car. Very convenient and has always run smoothly for us.

One time we did travel down the night before and stayed in one of the hotels close to the terminal. The deal was one night and parking in the hotel car park for 14 nights. That worked well too, other than feeling slightly anxious about picking the space and knowing there would be lots of comings and goings whilst we were away and needing to sort a taxi to get the luggage across to the terminal along with many others doing the same.

Plus side being you're there the night before so loads of time to get across and no worries about traffic issues on the day. Last time we did it in 2023, we stayed the night before but used the valet parking through P&O and I suspect we will do that next time too.

It should be complementary parking.

It depends which terminal you sail from, we have used CPS, ABP and the Holiday Inn. There is also a Facebook group for parking and which ones to avoid

Only if it's a select booking, and you have chosen that benefit - and P&O have not sold their allocation.

Elizabeth Hotel has a deal where you stay with them for a night and can leave the car parked there for the cruise

I forgot to sort parking one year & CPS were full by the time I remembered, so we used Penguin & they were really good too.

I also use just park sometimes for parking in southampton - you can do a few weeks like that, I am sure.
