I think it will test Micheal Leiters visionary contribution at McLaren.

Their back catalogue of deep seated success in the industry is severely lacking. (JLR / Ford / Lotus)

It reminds me of BMW / Phoenix Venture Holdings, and Rover Group, or Wolfgang Reitzle leaving PAG.

Not at all surprised given the wording of the announcement a few weeks back.

I do think Leiters did a great job and will be missed.

100% agree.
Micheal Leiters understood Product development, testing, Quality Control, Production, Finance, and he has been replaced by a group whose track record suggests to me, they don't.
.....another example of Britain's lamentable inability to operate a Car manufacturing business and manage a Brand (like the Japanese or Germans).
