Would adding 15-20mm wheel spacers mean a new geo?

Under steering and suspension travel, yes.

Just for clarity, are you saying would you need to get your alignment/geometry checked after fitting them?

I ask because, generically, the answer is likely no, as they (in themselves) won't move anything that is actually adjustable.

Having said that, if you were to fit them, then yes, they will affect your geometry & maybe adversely.

The tyre contact patch will move out, the steering effort will change, the wear rates for some suspension components will change, the suspension will likely get "softer" the self-centring may well change, all amongst other things.

Was questioning if a new geo is required after adding spacers, sounds like not. Bit of a half baked idea anyway. Will wait until the suspension is replaced and think again at that point.
