Having finally convinced my wife to start to use Waze on her Cupra Born, I have tried to connect her Samsung Galaxy A12 to the Born.
However, even though AA is showing as downloaded it will not show either on the phone screen or when connected to the car.
I have tried an old Android Motorola and AA connects seemlessly, so it must be her phone.
I have read somewhere that a recent Samsung update can have blocked some apps from connecting to other devices such as cars, but can't now find it.
Whilst not fully car related, does anyone else have this issue?

Yes, my old Samsung (I think it was an A41) wouldn't connect, new one works seamlessly .. time for a new phone!

I think this is an issue with Android 12, try clearing the Android Auto cache data by going Settings > Apps > Android auto > Cache data > clear, and then retry pairing. Once its paired it should be fine.

Are you running a VPN on your phone? If so, it blocks Android Auto. I emailed Nord VPN about the same issue - they provided a different setting, but AA would still not connect, even using split tunneling. I just turn off the VPN now ,and all is fine.
