Obviously Kawasaki are struggling to sell their new hybrid models

Prices have been dropped from £11,995 to £6695 at most dealers now!

Has anyone ridden one yet? If cheap PCP deals are available I bet they would make a great commuter ...

Although I would never dream of buying one, that's a hell of a discount!!

someone who's not bothered about looks / sound etc and just wants a cheap commuter, that's a steal.

I bet anyone who paid full price isn’t too thrilled.

I looked into them on a stupid low PCP deal (Thanks Norton irkedhehe) for the daily commute and I was only put off by not being able to fit a top box which I need for work stuff.

Maybe they would have shifter all of them at 8-9k.
Makes you think they really didnt want to steal sales from their other bikes,as I didnt even really know it existed and I did go to the UK Excel bike show this year.

I'd be very surprised if anyone actually did. I bawked at the price when these were first released, more than any other bike price I have bawked at.

I reckon they registered more demos than sales

The write ups I’ve read are not brilliant , and I just brought a bike from a Kawasaki dealer & I can’t remember seeing one in the showroom , they never mentioned one but did go though most bikes of that size .

Try the following from Martin Fitzgibbons. He knows as much or more than most about electric bikes. He's had one as a long termer.

That's one hell of a discount, but I still don't want one.
If they had put that technology into something more commuterish, like a maxi scooter, they might have had more global success, but with a watered down sportsbike aesthetic and no luggage capacity it's on a hiding to nothing.
I hope Kawasaki find the right home for the drive train.

Same. I’ve seen a new one listed at £6.3k and wouldn’t even shortlist it for a test ride.

The mpg seems poor. I ragged a gen 3 sv650 for about 5k miles and averaged near enough 60mpg. The Ninja 7 seems barely higher from the long term tests I’ve seen.

Spotted some hefty discounts on the 125 variant as well today at On Yer Bike…

Kawasaki perhaps answered a question no one was asking with these Hybrids…

I think I may have found another reason why Kawasaki are struggling with these.

I spoke to my local dealer last week, and he recommended to get an insurance quote as apparently insurance companies don't seem to like the hybrid bikes at the moment. Sure enough I just plugged the details into confused.com, and the cheapest quote I got back is twice what I am currently paying for my MV Agusta Superveloce yikes
