Fidelity down for Maintenance...Now??

Seems like Fidelity is down for maintenance, today, during markets..... for an hour so far....still waiting on a call.

So really this service is utterly useless if you can't use it on critical days?

I assume their sells take 5 business days and buys done in blocks the next trading day or end of working day or something?

There would be no benefit to it being up right now would there?

Depends on the trade, but I don't have anything that takes 5 days and everything I moved this morning set the price at sale.

But even so, the the day time you sell clearly has an impact on settlement on everything and being able to login is pretty basic stuff and quite important.

Support was worthless, bit of an eye opener and you are right I need to look at a different platform for some investments.

Nope, by noon for funds and (seemingly) instant for ETFs and shares is my experience. Mind you I'm not looking at it currently!

Probably delay due to the login issues over lunch.

I over thought the whole thing, sometimes you've got to walk away and trust the plan.

Once the dust settles I'll carry on and use these guys for investments and something else for small amounts of wall street fantasies.
