Fuel Pump and Igition Electrics!

A short run out in the sun ended in me being towed home last week when the car died suddenly. Engine still turns over but no sound from the fuel pump, light on the immobiliser etc. All other electrics OK.
Further investigation I found the 25Amp fuse blown for the pump and injectors. Replaced this and the imobilser now works but no fuel pump and no igintion spark either!
Guess I need to check the connections to the pump to see if thie has caused the fuse failure but I'm confused about the ignition and no spark at the plugs, anyone know if there is a common circuit to each or any other bright ideas??
