Hello - do you know what the original blue colour was? Is the paint code sticker still there?
Thanks

The short answer is no. Sorry. The car was red when we purchased it. There is no paint code sticker.

Please advise who did the major rebuild(s). If more than one please name the main bodywork rebuilder and the power plant rebuilder.

I undertook the body restoration myself as an experienced & respected car restoration and crash repairer for many years in Wembley.
Engine resorted by specialist who I have worked with all my life in the trade. Once totally re-assembled, SK Engine Services tuned up engine, carburettor balancing . restoration, resolved any teething issues, leaks etc. He is a Ferrari Specialist for the earlier models. There are receipts for the work he completed in the photos for this listing. Please come see the car - it speaks for itself.

Understood - do you know if any photos were taken of the restoration that may show the original colour?
Thank you.

No, but if you remove some of the interior trim you will see the original colour. It was metallic blue.

  • *** ACCORDING TO INTERNET, of the 2826 Ferrari 308 GT4s ever made, a total of only 547 were right hand drive were produced and 209 were registered in the UK. The number now left in existence is difficult to quantify but safe to say will be much less adding to the rarity and desirability of this beautiful example.

What is the Ferrari paint colour now on that car. On my screen it looks more like what is now known as Rosso Scuderia (slightly brighter red with more orange toner) All the red RHD 308 GT4's I came across in my days as a new car dealer back in the late 70's looked more like Rosso Corsa as I recall. (a deeper blood red).
