Windows 10/11 Upgrade?

My desktop PC is Windows 10 and can't be upgraded to 11.

I can get another year from Microsoft for £24? Is it worth it.

Should I buy another desktop? No problems, or complications, just money.

Buy a laptop? Will I cope? Where do I buy/get the word processing software from?

I am moderately tech, but Mrs A isn't at all. We are both old.

What haven't I thought of? .

What is the £24 for? Personally I, would just leave it on Windows 10 until you want to buy a new PC.
