LS2 and LS7 Fuel consumption....
Discussion
I'm a Kit Car nut, and want to build another GT car, the MPG of these later Chevy engines is making me think that it's time to drop the old Iron Lump and use a modified LS engine...
My question is does anyone know what MPG the new LS7 Engine does in a vette ? Has it dropped due to being a 7 Litre ? or is it still 25mpg on a run ??? Got pritty feed up with 12mpg taking it easy in my GTR.....
Cheers

mpg depends on tuning/mapping, engine mods, car its fitted ( weight, aerodynamics, gearing )to and type of driving.
But any decent LSx engine, set up properly should easily achieve more than 12mpg.
My supercharged LS1 will manage about 22mpg on a run. I'd probably get more with some fine tuning. Mates standard Monaro was sitting at a tad over 30mpg on the trip computer whilst cruising back from Santa Pod last weekend.
