We have a lovely tree that over hangs our patio;

The issue is that the flowers fall onto the tiles and really make a mess. I have jet washed the whole patio today, which takes the dirt away but whats left just will not come off with the jet wash or a scrubbing brush.

Can anyone suggest a substance that would get these stains off?

Also, can anyone suggest something that might get rust stains off too?

Similar colour slabs to mine, and similar problems.

Scrubbing it all with bleach works well. However it also bleaches the black grout so not ideal. Bicarbonate of soda is another option that works but even more scrubbing involved.

Is that a Camellia?
I had the same colour, I thought it would be bombproof, but it’s far from it. I resorted to brick acid to remove stains, even that wasn't 100%

We've never known what it is, looking online, it does look like a Camellia thumbup

Will get some Brick Acid and Bicarbonate and give it a go!

I would think a 80/20 water and breach mix and then pressure washing would do the job. Pressure washers also have a scrubber attachment

For the rust marks, just use a iron fallout remover (like you spray on car wheels) and it will fix that without any effort.

Or CLR from Screwfix. Probably cheaper and smells nicer. I think it's just phosphorus acid

Try white vinegar diluted 10% into warm water and a bathroom sponge the sort with the slightly abrasive side.

In that case Coke will work as it contains phosphoric acid. A great rust remover.

I'm just staggered that someone could have a beautiful tree like that, and not know what it is, nor have any interest in knowing...

I would be surprised if this didn't remove the stains.

Oxalic acid is a common additive in proprietary rust stain removers, it's much cheaper to buy it and mix your own.
