I wanted to ask before I tackle this. For 2013 or newer (Gen 2) with single lamp style.
I don't want to do something stupid and mess up the headlight lens.

One of the lens has become discolored and has a small bit of clouding.
Not sure if any film is on the lens or not.
Is this safe to do a normal headlight polish?

You can simply use a headlight renovator with a random orbital polisher and a soft flap. Max power 5. If you are not sure, any body shop will do it for a short time.

If it's on the surface and doesn't go in too far you can do it. The scary bit is sanding the plastic until it's completely matt!

I used https://www.amazon.co.uk/Autoglym-Headlight-Restor...

Follow the instructions and do every stage carefully and well.

I tried the Autoglym restorer on one of my headlamps today. Didn’t work….

The anti-scratch coating has crazed quite badly, but it’s still touch enough that half an hour with the 800-grit paper hardly made any difference at all.

I’m not convinced that attacking it with coarser grit is a good idea, so it looks like I’ll have to find a good secondhand unit

Is that an aftermarket thing? I'm sure mine didn't have it.

Which generation of cars are we talking about?
It might make a difference - don't know.
