Before the first dislike was fully described, I had guessed what was about to be said.

I think the gentleman would find a manual V8V, with 'comfort' suspension, sports seats and a twin plate clutch (light pedal), might be his perfect Vantage.

Instead he owns a V8VS, with Sportshift gearchange; (standard fit) sports suspension and standard seats.
Such a shame that he is not enjoying his car, simply because the specification is not to his liking.

It is interesting that years ago on here, Sports Pack was the go to choice. More recently, perhaps because of worsening road surfaces, some PHers have been writing about wanting the softer (although still quite firm) suspension.

If you want a bone-shaking ride and deafening road noise, Sportspack is a must.

That guy is an idiot. Don’t give him clicks.

Same moron that came out with this video.

Sports suspension is wonderful. The driver’s choice. The choice of tyre makes a lot of difference to the ride. I find the firm ride really suits the car and it has plenty of suspension travel and doesn’t get upset by bumps.

^^^^ this.

couldn't agree more. Post a video slagging the car to the hilt and 'advising' all and sundry not to buy a Vantage then goes and buys one (maybe as an 'influencer' he thought he could 'influence' the market down...)

He clearly has limited mechanical understanding and hasn't had the car long enough to understand how it works. Ergo he talks rubbish, the same as in the other video.

Your comment might suggest that the Australian authorities believe in maintaining your road surfaces to a good standard.

The situation in the UK is dreadful. County councils are responsible for maintaining most roads (not motorways) and during recent years they have made little attempt to do the required work. There are potholes on most roads now and many cars have suffered ruined tyres and damaged suspension. I have even encountered a few potholes on motorways.
The contractors who do repairs are failing to do a proper job, so the same potholes soon reappear.

In addition to awful roads, we now have taxes and charges being raised, benefits withdrawn and minimal incentives for entrepreneurs.
Perhaps I should move to Australia.

Couldn’t agree more, I have an N400, so has the full sports pack, only owned it for nearly a year now, I do find the suspension rigid and the bumps on roads are painful from potholes and manhole covers, not for me as such, but I feel it for the car and particularly its suspension. I often find myself weaving a bit to avoid clear potholes in roads and there is a bit of a shudder through me when I do feel a bump.

All this is not the car’s fault, it’s incredibly poised and reactive, the sports pack suspension is the reason for this. It is a drivers car through and through, you wouldn’t want to be without the setup on a decently surfaced track as an example and it’s lively on well surfaced winding a roads.

I’ve not even bothered opening the review to watch it, as others have said I don’t want to give him the clicks or views. While I appreciate it might not suit his needs on the roads he’s using, the logic is totally flawed and it’s not an issue with the car but only where and how he’s using it.
