2 laptops 2 monitors

I'm currently running 2 laptops through 1 monitor. HDMI and display port.

I want to add a second monitor, probably through a dock.

Should be much better than a dual cable into each monitor as the dock would ideally charge 1 of the laptops.

Is there a better way to do it? Any dock recommendations?

You need a KVM switch. You could get one with usb-c input then a single cable can go to each laptop meaning they can charge, power the displays and also share a keyboard and mouse. You may need a separate power cable for a gaming laptop as they need a bit more juice
