There seems to be a few of these for sale.
Generally well specified with options.
White is a popular colour.
Prices seem to be a bit lower.
Are these cars protected against corrosion in the same way as cars supplied to European markets?
I appreciate service history may be a problem and Speedo will be in km.
Any other inherent problems with a JDM car?

They are built in the same factory as EU cars so will have the same undersealing standard.

The radios will also be in Japenanse frequencies and languages so will need a UK spec unit installing.

They will also likely some with some JDM tat installed for the Tolls etc which will just randomly talk to you in japanese and be screwed into the console/dash somewhere.

I bought an imported ED35 just before Christmas and can confirm as above.

It was a UK car, exported to Japan that has no returned home, so undersealing etc. would/should all be 'Euro-spec'.

The Japanese stereo can be a bit of a faff to sort if you choose not to go OE VW...which I didn't and now I'm regretting it a bit but I took a bit of a punt, so it's at least 50% my fault hehe

My clocks are still in KMH with MPH in the MFD and I'll probably leave that a) 'cos I don't care enough to change it and b) I was in a Boxster before the golf where all analogue speeds are in 5mph incriments, so equally useless, and now I'm used to looking for the digital display.

ETA; mine has the full Japaese history which is very comprehensive...but in Japanese, so Google Translate or similar will be required.
