I messed up andon trying to return my Volvo V60 a month early, as I'd taken a lease though my work, I assumed my tires were fine and never checked them properly and the car failed it's Manheim collection because the front 2 tyres were too worn.
I bought some cheaper part worn tyres from ebay and had them fitted as I just needed it good enough to be collected. I have booked collection for 2 weeks time, the 16th, and on checking the tyres I've had fitted I realised I've made another stupid error.
The tyres should be 235/45/R18 and I've somehow managed to purchase a pair of 235/40/R18.
I suspect I already know the answer to my question, will they take the car with these on or will this be another straight up failed collection if I don't get them sorted?

I'd imagine as long as they have sufficient tread they won't twig they're the wrong size.

There's only one way you're going to find out, however many "imaginary" answers you get on here!
