I only just came across this show on ITV even though Series 1 came out in 2023. In short 12 contestants start with a prize pool of £300k but have an 18 day trek through the wilderness, camping and with nothing to eat other than rice & beans. Along the way they are given temptations which range from quick fix drinks and snacks, to full nights of luxury, safari tours etc but at crazy prices that are taken from the prize pot.
One of those shows you complain about whilst watching but cant turn it off. Some of the players just seem to be planted (or paid extra) to wind the rest up by being as annoying & selfish as possible. Many are resolute they wont spend a penny whilst others take almost every temptation. I assume there must be a rule that stops them saying "why don't we all allocate £10K per person and you spend it on what you want or keep it at the end" as that would seem a logical balance.
