For reasons, I need a cheap sofa set for my garden. Ideally it's 1 piece or 2 that I can join as it'll be on slabs buried into a gravel area (single chairs will sink into the floor). I'm not expecting it to last over a season, just need something short term really.

Anyone bought any of these povvo branded ones? "Outsunny" etc of Dunelm/Argos/eBay fame? These sites seems to list them but none have reviews.

Obviously each to their own when it comes to affordability, but whilst £300-400 isn't that expensive, it's also not exactly cheap when it comes to garden furniture sets. Especially if you only expect it to last a year.

Personally I'd go somewhere like the Range, pretty sure that's where my SiL picked up a set a couple of years ago for around £100. It looks ok, comfy enough and still has a bit of life left in it.

Yes, it's subjective, but I am after a 4/5 seater, and the cheapest at the range is £350 (it has reviews though! same as my ebay link too). I'm sure it'll last longer, but it just needs to last a year really. anything cheaper is stand alone chairs which don't work on a stoney patio.

I picked up a B&Q fake rattan one on sale and it's lasted about five years of being left exposed to the elements so far. It's not got brand on it, but their current ones seem to be outsunny so probably very similar. It's not the most robust thing, going a bit brittle now so be surprised if it lasts more than a few more years. If you can wait until it's on sale to clear stock then worthwhile, not sure I'd pay £3-400 for it though, but then the rattan alternatives seem to be over a grand so maybe that's not too bad.

Local selling groups/freecycle/ebay be worth a look now it's getting sunny out, incase someone else nearby is upgrading and wants rid of their old stuff.

Tried

I've looked at some 2nd hand places, but little about at the minute and need it soon really.

I'm sure the cheaper stuff will be fine for a season or 2, just wanted some real feedback and it's hard to find any online!

Sadly not fitting to my brief of "fixed" due to the stupid gravel patio area!
