What platform are they selling through? Ebay? Chrono24?
If its ebay, they have a 'certified genuine' scheme where all luxury watches sold are sent to them for verification before forwarding on.
Chrono24 have a similar system, you can choose to pay for this service as a buyer (couple of hundred quid I think) which will give you peace of mind.

No, it's an FB group. I'm pretty sure it's legit, but the seller hasn't provided any way of me verifying the watch, but just says he has references etc. Which could all be mates for all I know.
It's way too 'trust' based for my liking. I don't have that sort of money to waste on a fraud.

Are you seeing the watch in person? I’d not buy through facebook personally you have no clue what they’ll send you regardless of what the photos show. Chrono24 or eBay or in person are the only options I use to buy watches It's way too 'trust' based for my liking. I don't have that sort of money to waste on a fraud.

I completely agree with this.Don't buy from facebook unless you are confident you can spot a wrong'un when it comes to handover, or you are 100% confident in the seller.
If the watch is a certified Master Chronometer, Omega offers an online tool to verify it:
Visit: https://www.omegawatches.com/myomega/
Use the access code from the red card (blurred in the image) to verify its METAS certification results.

Yeah, even if it's real, it's far enough away for me to not know what I'm going to get. Oh well, next time.
If it was F2F then I could probably do it.
Yes F2F it is easy enough to check the cards and engraved serial number but distance selling on FB, Gumtree etc is a minefield. If it was F2F then I could probably do it.
