Dune Part 2 2024 Spoilers
Discussion
I finally got around to watching it.
Kinda wished I hadn't
I felt very disappointed, slightly annoyed.
I have read the books many many times
The 1st half was very very good if a little slow making the 2nd half feel very rushed, compressing 2 years in book time into around 4/5 months.
The Giedi Prime scenes are brilliant.
Didn't not like the way they handled Paul drinking post drinking the water of life, discovering the Baron Harkonnen was his grandfather and then going 2D D-bag mode
I was happy when they made it plain Paul is not the really good guy, but making him simple a 2D joke of a character was bad.
Stilgar does not become a religious follower until the very end in the book, in the film its happens very early
Wondering how the heck Paul and Chani are supposed to get back together with her bearing the twins at by the end of Dune part 3 2026 (Messiah)
