Most years I put the maximum possible into my pensions. It's difficult to calculate how much I can put in my SIPP as I have an NHS pension which only release my pension input amount after the financial year has ended.
Is the only consequence of going over the £60K limit that I would pay income tax on the excess? I'm self employed sole trader if that makes any difference.

You can top up against unused allowances for the last 3 years.

Do you know if you have any left there? If so, bonza. If not, you’ll pay tax at your upper rate on the element over 60k.
