Hello.

In July I shall be taking an elderly relative, who lives in Dublin, out for lunch and I need some suggestions for an excellent and memorable venue, budget is not a consideration.

The last time that we met, in 2023, we had tea at the Shelbourne hotel.

Where would you suggest we go?

Thank you.

Patrick Guilbaud at the Merrion does a nice relaxed lunch service.

"Hello, Patrick?....sorry for phoning you out of the blue, it's been ages I know, but I've heard on the grapevine that you may have a notorious teaspoon rustler visiting your gaff in the near future, so just a word to the wise, and you might want to have the bouncers keeping an eagle eye on the silverware. Not precisely sure when he might be turning up, but if you have the lads looking for your man in a long black leather trenchcoat and booking under the name of Herr Otto Blib, that's the fella"

Dagnamit!

I would've gotten away with it if it wasn't for you pesky kids!

curse

Anyhow, I believe that The Garden Room at The Merrion will be perfect for a summer Sunday lunch in Dublin.

Thank you so much, Bezerk.
