Hi Bob
Does the car run and drive well with no issues?

It runs fine, but remember that it is nearly 50 years old, so nothing is guaranteed. Also it still needs running in, so it has not been stretched

The engine was rebuilt by a classic engine and gearbox specialist (Cegag) with decades of experience largely gained working on Porsches in Austria. Machining was carried out by Tuthill. A detailed breakdown of the work can be found in the Documents section of the images.

It drives really nicely - the gearbox is good and the clutch was replaced during the engine works

One further point to note is that the restrictive US spec emission control equipment has been removed

Hello,

it seems as if there is new paint inside the front trunk on the right side of the car and I can spot a sheet that I have never spotted inside a 911 at this place, lengthening, besides the tank on the inner wheel arch.

Has there been an repair, maybe from a minor damage? Do you know something?

best regards

The car had a clean US title (and subsequent U.K. title), with what looks to be original paint and no accident damage (although obviously some areas of paint look better than others!)

I’ve had a root around online and found these images of ‘77/78 911 Targas, with the same panels under the bonnet (assuming this is the area you are referring to)

Hi there, in pic 215 there appears to be a pool of oil. are you able to give any info regarding this?

Good spot! The line leading to the oil pressure sender tends to have residual oil in it (hence it looking dark) when you drop the engine. That oil then flows out when you reconnect it, pooling in that little valley.
